At Midtown Milkhouse, we are dedicated to providing our local community and the surrounding areas with the freshest farm milk available, 24/7. We are committed to sustainability, offering our customers the unique experience of purchasing milk directly from the farm, ensuring zero food miles and a more environmentally friendly product. As of March 2024, we have expanded to a second location. We are proud to announce our partnership with Booths, where together, we bring our rich and creamy milk to the flagship store in Keswick.
Located at Midtown Farm in the picturesque Caldbeck nestled under the Northern Fells of The Lake District, Midtown Milkhouse is the labour of love of the Hodgson family, who have been on the land since 1939. Our herd of 250 pedigree Holstein cows, known as Midcroft Holsteins, are the heart of our business.
Our closed herd system ensures that we rear our own stock, giving our cows the luxury of grazing on fresh grass in the summer and enjoying our homegrown forages in the comfort of our cubicle sheds during the winter. This approach not only results in the rich and creamy milk we are renowned for but also contributes to the well-being of our cows, who lead happy and stress-free lives.
